Breema® is a heart-centered approach to bodywork and movement rooted in presence, balance, and natural vitality. This weekend intensive introduces the Nine Principles of Harmony through partner bodywork and Self-Breema exercises. Emphasizing mutual support, grounded touch, and body-mind integration, Breema brings the practitioner into a state of “Being-ness”—where giving and receiving are simultaneous, and effort is replaced by flow. Gentle yet deeply revitalizing, Breema provides a pathway for living with more connection, clarity, and ease—both on and off the mat.
This introductory course invites students into the calming, centering world of Breema, a holistic practice that harmoniously blends gentle bodywork, mindful movement, and self-care exercises to support daily well-being. Through Breema’s Nine Principles of Harmony—such as body comfort, mutual support, and full participation—participants experience deep relaxation, renewed vitality, and an authentic sense of presence.
Students will explore Breema's simple yet profound exercises, discovering how to incorporate these harmonizing practices into their everyday lives. Emphasis is placed on nurturing a direct, embodied experience of mindfulness, presence, and connection, fostering personal insight and relational harmony.

Alexis Mulhauser has been leading dance classes in the Bay Area since 2008. Her classes are infused with her passion for the human body, movement as a form of meditation, and the many modalities she‘s studied that support healing and wholeness, including Hatha yoga martial arts, and Breema.
In addition to teaching dance at Berkeley Yoga Center, she is a certified Breema Practitioner and Instructor, and Certified Massage Therapist. Alexis teaches Breema Bodywork at the Breema Center in Oakland and internationally, offers private bodywork/massage sessions at the Breema Clinic in Rockridge, and at Worthy Self-Care Studio in Elmwood.

Jon Schreiber, D. C., director of the Breema Center and Breema Clinic in Oakland, California, has been teaching Breema in the U.S. and internationally since 1980. He has presented Breema at medical, psychology, bodywork, exercise, holistic health, and personal growth conferences. His numerous articles and books focus on the universal and practical philosophy of Breema. In his clinical practice, Dr. Schreiber uses Breema, Self-Breema, and the Nine Principles of Harmony to help patients discover the real meaning of health. He has authored many books about Breema and its underlying philosophy. Several have also been published as audio books, read by the author, and all are available in our online bookstore.
